First Finishers was founded in 2005 by brothers Kai and Tim Fyrst after learning their trade under some of the finest master home builders in the Pacific Northwest.

Since then, First Finishers has experienced sustained growth based on customer satisfaction and a solid reputation within Washington State’s new construction and home building industry for quality craftsmanship.

“I’m going to gush a bit. These guys were terrific!
Had our 17 year old hardwood floors refinished and they are beautiful. But I really have to say they were so careful and concerned about the dust issue. They use a new dustless sanding system, taped all the kitchen cupboards and drawers, and installed temporary plastic barriers over the doorways. End result was little to no dust for me to clean up. The guys even wiped down the kitchen counters and cabinets when they were done – that extra step was well appreciated! AND – they moved my fridge back into the kitchen when they were done. We are really pleased with the work ethic and the floors are stunning.”

“I hired First Finishers the summer of 2015 for some remodel work before moving into a new home. They were extremely helpful and patient in helping me think through the options, were courteous and respectful. I enjoyed all the workers who came to the house. They were friendly and good about cleaning up after themselves.
The thing I appreciated the most was that they laid out the cost up front and there were no surprises. They were here when the said they were going to be (that’s a rarity! ) and finished within a reasonable time frame. If I had the money, I’d hire them again tomorrow for more work.”

“We had First Finishers do a major kitchen and bath remodel for us 5 years ago. They came highly recommended and we have in turn recommended them to our friends and family. About a year ago I noticed some problems with the tile in my bathroom and contacted John at the Showroom and he said to keep an eye on it. The problems persisted and we ultimately discovered that there was a manufacturer defect in the glass tile product. Kai and John were able to work together with the product manufacturer to remove the defective product and replace the entire bathtub tile at no cost to us. In this day and age it is hard enough to find quality workmanship, but it is priceless to find a company who stands behind both their product and their craft. We will definitely use First Finishers for future project and appreciate the integrity of the company.”
