Project Description

First Finishers embarked on several projects for this inviting Tenino family home.  To begin with a lovely sidewalk and curbing was created. This seemingly small project was no small task indeed. The sidewalks and curbing needed to match the existing index level and homeowner, Bruce, says “it made a very dramatic impression”. Jeff from the First Finishers team stained the curbing to match the sidewalk and then reworked the steps of the front porch to tie into the existing deck. Handrails were added for safety.

Moving to the inside of the home, Matt, First Finishers master of all things tile, created a gorgeous stone backsplash which updated the family kitchen. The homeowners shared that they chose this particular backsplash because they knew that one of the cupboards sagged a little and they were concerned if they had installed a backsplash with a horizontal line, that it would draw the eye and accentuate the flaw. Mom’s the word and no-one need know.

A “Cactus” granite countertop was chosen to complement the backsplash and the end result: nothing short of stunning.

Moving along to the back patio, a 25 year old sunwood deck was removed and a new concrete patio featuring a breathtaking sundial and rock fire pit gave the home new life, especially with the covered deck to help keep the home owners and its furry four-legged occupants cool during hot summer weather.

“What really made our project come together was that the First Finishers team listened to us. The crew was wonderful to work with. We look forward to working with First Finishers again in the very near future when we embark on our upstairs remodel”.
